Game Devs Ostrava
GDO založili Petr Slaný a Kateřina Slaná Ivanová. Oba pracují na Střední škole uměleckých řemesel, která jako jedna z mála v České republice umožňuje žákům studovat herní tvorbu již od prvního ročníku studia. V Moravskoslezském kraji však podpora tohoto průmyslu zcela chybí, narozdíl od Jihomoravského kraje nebo Polska, a tak se rozhodli to změnit.

GDO was founded by Petr Slaný and Kateřina Slaná Ivanová. Both work at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts, which is one of the few schools in the Czech Republic that allows students to study game development from their very first year. However, in the Moravian-Silesian Region, support for this industry is entirely lacking, unlike in the South Moravian Region or Poland, so they decided to change that.
PŘÍBĚH / STORY
Game Devs Ostrava je komunita herních tvůrců z Moravskoslezského kraje, která pomáhá mladým lidem nastartovat jejich kariéru v herním průmyslu. Jejím cílem je sdružovat, inspirovat a vzdělávat mladé lidi, aby tvořili vlastní herní projekty a sdíleli své zkušeností mezi sebou. Chceme je také propojovat s herními studii a investory, abychom tak společně budovali videoherní průmysl v Ostravě a okolí.

Game Devs Ostrava is a community of game developers from the Moravian-Silesian region that helps young people kick-start their careers in the gaming industry. Its mission is to unite, inspire, and educate aspiring creators, encouraging them to develop their own game projects and share their experiences with one another. We also aim to connect them with game studios and investors to collectively build the video game industry in Ostrava and its surroundings.
